Community Action Plan Project Officer

This is a two year role funded by Scottish Government Strengthening Communities Fund Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust are at an exciting time of development with several legacy projects expected to be delivered by the community for the community and Community Action Group activities.

 

The post of Project Officer will be part of a dynamic team to help ensure the success of the Community Action Plan and the aspirations of the community. We are seeking a new member of staff with highly developed project management skills who can support the Trust CEO, lead directors and community groups by ensuring contractors and funders are delivering on time, in budget and meeting the objectives set out by the Community Action Plan. Current projects include the development of the Wildside Centre, Riverside Field, Errogie Church, Foyers Bay, Pathways, Housing and Childcare.

Development Officer & Services Coordinator

Glengarry, Fort Augustus, & Glenmoriston

 

Terms/Hours: 2 years Fixed Term, 15hrs per week (flexible). Home working negotiable.

Salary: £26,000 - £30,250 pro rata, dependent on experience

 

Purpose of role: To promote and manage existing wellbeing services; identify and develop new ones. Perform, coordinate, and oversee a wide variety of duties on behalf of the Trustees.

Work closely with partnership organisations.

 

Responsible to 3 Glens Community Care Board of Trustees

 

Desirable skills and Knowledge:

Possess excellent verbal, written and IT communication skills.

Be self-motivated. Work independently and proactively with minimum supervision.

Understanding and experience of volunteering and the Third Sector.

Knowledge of community engagement and involvement.

Identify community needs and/or gaps in service provision.

Own transport and driving licence essential.
