My wife and I moved to Whitebridge in 2015 when I retired from Oxfordshire County Council's Adult Learning Service. My role as a manager included leading the service’s Adult Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) provision across the county and providing learning and development programmes for Oxfordshire organisations. Previous roles included teacher, trainer, and assessor. As a free-lance consultant, I have also provided adult dyslexia diagnostic assessments and support in college and workplace settings. Earlier work experience includes various roles in the electronics industry and proprietor of a successful promotional fabric printing business; I’ve also volunteered for a number of organisations, including Calibre, the Blind Persons Library (recording audiobooks), and 'Life.’
I’m interested in quality assurance and customer service and as a director I hope I can support the Trust as we strive to continuously improve our service to the community.
My hobbies include: amateur dramatics, singing, caring for our newly planted woodland and projects to keep us off-grid as much as possible.
